About this tool

Remove GPS location from photos

Location coordinates may be embedded in a photo’s EXIF data. The photo cleaner removes the supported metadata blocks containing those coordinates.

Supported cleanup and limits

This tool removes the supported EXIF block as a whole; it does not offer selective GPS-only editing. Visible addresses and landmarks are not blurred. A file that shows no GPS metadata can still reveal a location through its visible contents.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Supported files are inspected and cleaned inside this browser tab. Processing libraries are bundled with the site. The interface font is loaded from Google Fonts.

Does a clean report mean my file is anonymous?

No. A clean report means no metadata within the supported cleanup scope was detected after processing. Unknown tags, filenames and visible contents may still identify you.

How many files can I clean?

Up to 10 files per batch, 50 MB per file and 100 MB per batch. Download files separately or together as a ZIP.
